Dear Friends of Baylor Triathlon,
Three years ago, a few Baylor University students got together and formed a triathlon club because these students understood the need and value of a healthy lifestyle as well as a competitive racing environment. For the last three years, this newly formed group has raced in events around the state and even competed at USAT Collegiate Nationals last April in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The national competition included athletes from nearly one hundred colleges and universities around the country.
Now in our third year as an official Baylor University Club Sport, we are only beginning to realize our long-term dreams. We will compete in races throughout the state of Texas in our preparation for a return to nationals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. We are so excited to be representing Baylor University with over 60 club members, both men and women, in all these events! The Baylor Triathlon Club wants to continue its mission of promoting and encouraging students to participate in a multi-sport lifestyle while providing a healthy community for Baylor triathletes. Our goal in the near future is to be among the top 25 USAT Collegiate teams.
We need your help to continue our mission and reach our goals! Because we are a newer club sport, the majority of our members face considerable barriers to entering into the sport of triathlon, especially bike and equipment ownership for underclassmen and out-of-state students. We are writing to invite you to partner with us in our triathlon goals as a monetary supporter. We hope you can be part of our support team through a tax-deductible donation.
